FROM THE STEM TO THE ECOLODGE: LOCAL KNOW-HOW
Our ecolodges are the result of close collaboration with local artisans.
1. BAMBOO SELECTION
Harvested at optimal maturity (4–5 years) in locally and sustainably managed bamboo groves. Short and responsible supply chain guaranteed!
2. CUTTING AND DRYING
Ancestral cutting techniques following the moon and on-site drying to avoid over-processing. To make the walls, each bamboo is manually split into panels with a hatchet.
3. BIOCLIMATIC DESIGN
Architecture designed according to climate, sunlight and prevailing winds.
4. HAND ASSEMBLY
Transported on the backs of mules or men from local bamboo groves to their location, the bamboo is meticulously assembled by hand one by one.
5. ARTISANAL FINISHES
The bamboo is sanded one by one and then varnished to protect it from humidity and predators. Decorative details are crafted with love, making each ecolodge unique.
6. MAINTENANCE
Each ecolodge, each bamboo requires maintenance to make it more durable. Once a year, the bamboo is maintained to preserve all its strength and beauty.
