Andrea & Jan
Andrea and Jan are both full-time practitioners and instructors of Sri Sai Prana Yoga® and Pranic Healing® (according to Master Choa Kok Sui).
Andrea is Colombian-French, born in Colombia where she attended a French school. She studied mathematics and economics in Colombia and France. Having lived in France since 2002, she has worked as a strategic project manager for various international companies. A mother of three children (now aged 17, 16, and 11), she discovered and learned Pranic Healing in 2012, and later trained in yoga in India in 2019.
Jan was born in northern Germany, trained in banking, and studied business administration and French in Germany and Montreal. At a very young age, he also spent several weeks to a few months at a time living in France. Following a severe case of mononucleosis, he discovered and learned Pranic Healing in 2005, and became a yoga teacher in India in 2009.
Jan and Andrea both speak French, English, German, and Spanish! They have been a couple for two and a half years and regularly attend retreats, training courses, and trips to India together with their teacher, Master Sai Cholleti. They each have their own private healing and practice rooms—respectively in Nuremberg and Alsace (near Strasbourg)—where they enthusiastically offer yoga classes, pranic seminars, energy healing, and meditation workshops.

Which trip has transformed you the most?
Without a doubt, my 4-week yoga teacher training in Narsapur, South India, back in 2019. I had three children; the youngest was only 5 and the oldest was 11. Taking a one-month break, completely disconnected, and focusing 100% on spiritual practices, physical activity, and vegetarian food… It was a true gift to myself. I also saw it as a gift to my children, showing them that a mother can also allow herself to practice self-care and take that time while the father takes over the house and family duties. When I left, I was working as a strategic project manager for an international company. Upon my return, I found out there were economic layoffs and I was offered a redundancy package… This wasn’t planned at all; I had taken this trip just to look after myself, but the universe pushed me further. I immediately started teaching classes, and it became my full-time career.
What aspect of teaching yoga do you cherish the most?
I love watching students gradually let go despite their inner resistance. Discovering that deep down, they all desire and find joy in reconnecting with silence and stillness. Just being alone with themselves.
The greatest lesson life has taught you?
That all the answers are within me, that I must seek them out on my own, but that I am never truly alone—everything is connected.
What is a cause or value you would champion without hesitation?
Freedom. Within a framework of respect for the life of all living beings.
What intention do you wish to set for the participants of this retreat?
I hope the participants deeply enjoy these 10 days to make the absolute most of this opportunity for internalization and for discovering another world—both their inner world and wild, rural Colombia at the same time.
Jan
Which trip has transformed you the most?
It is definitely the foundational yoga teacher training in Rishikesh (India) back in 2009 that transformed me the most. In fact, I only wanted to participate to look after myself. It was a month of physical practice, breathing exercises, meditation, healthy meals, and learning about yoga philosophy in the moderate heat of India. I ended up teaching yoga classes right after I returned home.
What aspect of teaching yoga do you cherish the most?
Giving students tools they can practice on their own. Seeing my students become more and more independent in their practice. Contributing to their health.
The greatest lesson life has taught you?
That inner peace and health are the most valuable things in our lives.
What is a cause or value you would champion without hesitation?
The well-being and health of others.
What intention do you wish to set for the participants of this retreat?
I would love to contribute to making this retreat truly unforgettable, in addition to the beautiful natural setting. 😊
Laurène
I represent Ecotopia, a responsible, eco-friendly, and community-supported travel initiative that creates and organizes the retreats we offer you.
In love with Latin America, I have been living here for over 15 years. My background in humanitarian work left a deep impression on me: it fueled my passion for human connection, cultural diversity, and solidarity. These values are at the very heart of Ecotopia, where every journey is designed to offer you a meaningful encounter—between cultures, between individuals, with oneself, and with nature.
Passionate about simple living and self-sufficiency, I embrace a lifestyle every day that brings me closer to the living world: cultivating the earth, healing with plants, and living by the rhythm of the sun and the seasons. For me, nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, healing, and wisdom.
A dancer at heart, Latin dances also play a huge role in my life: they have taught me connection, the joy of movement, and the beauty of sharing.
Through Ecotopia, my wish is to share this dream: to introduce a different way of life, one that is more respectful of oneself and the Earth, and to invite everyone to explore other possibilities—living and traveling differently, mindfully, with simplicity, respect, and joy.
Emeric
My name is Emeric, Laurène’s partner, and today I live in Colombia, in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. For several years, I worked in the digital sector while traveling the world—a nomadic life that allowed me to encounter cultures, knowledge, and ways of inhabiting the world that were very different from my own. Ever since I was young, I have traveled while volunteering, because it is through this direct connection with local people that I learn the most. My path finally brought me here, to this sacred mountain that the Kogi peoples call the “heart of the world.”
From an early age, my curiosity guided me toward the unseen. I studied parapsychology for several years, which later led me toward yogic philosophy and a deeper exploration of consciousness. Since 2021, I have been practicing energy healing, both in France and remotely, and I continue to learn from different traditions. The Sierra Nevada nurtures this work on a daily basis: its energy and its silence demand a different relationship with oneself.
At Ecotopia, I want to ensure that everyone finds their own pace. My role is to maintain a simple, grounded, and caring environment where you can rest, meditate, walk, or connect. I will be there to welcome you so that your stay is a true pause, offering you exactly what you came looking for—even if you don’t know quite what that is just yet.

Our eco-friendly yoga retreat is a 10-day immersion in the heart of the Colombian Sierra Nevada.
It combines daily yoga practices (postures, breathwork, meditation, deep relaxation) with nature discovery activities and enriching encounters with local communities.
The approach is accessible to everyone, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. Each session is designed to foster body awareness, inner alignment, and letting go.
Beyond the physical practice, this retreat offers a holistic yoga experience, serving as a path to reconnect with yourself, others, and the surrounding environment. It is a time to slow down, center yourself, and live fully in the present moment—in harmony with nature and in line with values of solidarity.
Absolutely not! This retreat is open to everyone, whether you are a complete beginner or a regular practitioner.
The sessions are designed to adapt to all levels, with options offered for each posture and caring guidance throughout the stay. The most important thing is simply having the desire to discover (or deepen) your yoga practice with an open mind, free from any pressure for performance.
Everyone progresses at their own pace, respecting their body in a relaxed atmosphere.
A typical day begins with a shared local breakfast, followed by a complete morning yoga session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM), blending postures (asanas), conscious breathing (pranayama), meditation, and sometimes grounding or energy-opening practices.
After lunch and a period of rest, the afternoon alternates between complementary workshops (gentle yoga, yin, sharing circles, self-massage, etc.) and time to explore the area: swimming in waterfalls, nature walks, or cultural visits.
Evenings are dedicated to moments of centering or sharing: sunset meditation, rituals around the fire, intention circles, or simply free time to integrate the day’s experiences. Two full days are dedicated to excursions and meeting local communities, fostering a spirit of exchange, respect, and connection to the environment.
You will be accommodated in our bamboo ecolodges, built according to bioconstruction principles using local and sustainable materials. We offer different accommodation options: private lodges for couples or individuals (2 people per lodge). All our accommodations offer comfortable beds with mosquito nets, private terraces, shared eco-friendly bathrooms, and outdoor spaces to enjoy nature. Electricity is available but limited (solar power), and the internet connection is minimal to encourage a digital detox.
Here is the English translation, preserving the warm, nourishing, and welcoming tone of the original text:
